Claire and Alex, Holme Pierrepont Hall

Claire and Alex's wedding took place at the beautiful Holme Pierrepont Hall a few weeks ago. Claire wanted a simple, elegant, classic style for her floral arrangements which would compliment her gorgeous lace dress, and the decor of the ancient Long Gallery of the Hall. Flowers included roses, freesia, bouvardia and gypsophila, mixed with delicate greenery.

Laura and Daniel, Holme Pierrepont Hall

Laura and Daniel's wedding at Holme Pierrepont Hall was my last wedding of this week. It was a gorgeous flower order to work on in a palette of soft blues and greens, with Summery blooms some of which will be over for another year in a few weeks time. Dressing the venue with floral creations in this natural style, inspired by the character of the Hall and its beautiful gardens is always very satisfying. During the turnaround of the long gallery between ceremony and reception, It was lovely to see such a fabulous party taking place on the lawns before dinner was served.

Colour palette of greens and creams

It's been the busiest week of the year so far with 4 weddings this weekend. It's been a long, long week with nearly 80 hours in total of working on some gorgeous flower orders! Here's a little snippet of one of them, Holme Pierrepont's Long Gallery in a lovely green and cream colour palette.

Emma and Simon

I just want to take you back a few weeks to have a look at a beautiful wedding I did in late October at Holme Pierrepont Hall. Rich vibrant autumnal colours combined magically with touches of hot pink to compliment Emma's stunning pale gold bridal gown, heaps of fallen leaves and the ancient faded ochre walls of The Long Gallery. A rich colour palette like this one will set the tone of the wedding, invigorate the senses, creating warmth, drama and passion.

Marlene and Mike

Mike and Marlene's wedding at Edwalton Church and Holme Pierrepont Hall, had such a sense of fun about it. With blue and white polka dot ties, hot pink dresses and sunflowers galore, it was a feast for the eyes!

Emily and Ben

Holme Pierrepont Hall looked sensational for Emily and Ben’s wedding. The sun shone from beginning to end, the band played on the lawn and the atmosphere was wonderful. Emily’s bridesmaids, dressed in vibrant purple dresses, carried posies of peonies and roses in stunning shades of pink. The imposing table centrepieces were perfect for the Hall, creating a natural, beautiful style.
